“Turn To Stone (Ingrid Michaelson)” Dance; Choreographed by Travis Wall, Preformed by Melanie and Marko

Travis Wall choreographed this contemporary dance on the television show "So You Think You Can Dance." The dance shows the human bodies movement but not fully because the dancers are representing statues that came to life. This dance has a reference to the Classical art style because of the little covering costumes and the way the dancers are depicting statues. Little clothing shows the glorification of human beings which is a very important characteristic of the Classical era. Another important attribute to the Classical era is the use of marble in stonework. The dancers (if they were real statues) would most likely be marble.
